January 2018 Meeting

Please join us for our first meeting of the year this Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 1pm at the East Greenbush Public Library. At 2pm, 2017 Golden Heart finalist Kelli Newby will be presenting a workshop on world building.

World Building and Setting, presented by Kelli Newby
Creating complex, dynamic settings is an essential skill for all writers, but fantasy writers take this especially to heart, often describing the setting as the most important character in their stories. In this workshop, Kelli Newby–a Capital Region RWA member who teaches fantasy writing and literature at MCLA–will show attendees worldbuilding techniques and exercises used by fantasy writers and discuss how to create immersive, multilayered worlds for any genre, time period, or reality.

Our new board will be meeting at noon, prior to the meeting. All members are welcome to attend.
